Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative will be the first point of contact to potential and existing clients and will be a face of our multi-generation owned, growing energy manufacturing company. A successful candidate will generate new and diverse sales opportunities and be a liaison between customers and our inside sales team. This role reports directly to the Director of Business Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for profitable sales growth and market penetration that meets or exceeds management expectations
- Develops a strategic plan for the region assigned and will be held accountable for achieving results by tracking activities and business wins and losses in CRM
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contacts at all levels of our customer’s organizations
- Report’s sales and goal progress to Director of Business Development
- Manage business planning, plan execution, CRM activity tracking and new account set up in assigned region
- Travels within the assigned geography and develops deep relationships with customers and management level contacts
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 + years of successful experience in a sales capacity within the oil and gas industry
- Solid network within oil and gas, upstream segment a plus
- Strong demonstrated business judgment with knowledge and experience in manufacturing selling processes
- Have a current and valid driver’s license
- Must be able to travel within their assigned region
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools is a plus
- Work is conducted primarily in an office setting and at customer locations
